Pouring Rain

SOC Time!

Lately, it's been raining all week. Right now the rain is still roaring outside our door. Every now and then, I can feel the cold wind and little splatters coming from the hole underneath the door.

It's rained so much that the road I usually take to work was closed off for a day or two. Instead of driving, I walked instead. Luckily, I had rain boots and an umbrella, but I still ended up falling into a huge puddle by a construction zone. The water soaked over my knees and into my rain boots. It wasn't fun to walk about with mini-puddles inside my boots all day.

I hope the rain stops soon. It's a good thing I live near campus so I can walk across the street instead of driving with limited visibility.  I'm a bit worried because I have a work meeting tonight and school starts tomorrow. I'll just walk again, but my meeting is at 7pm, and it'll take a few hours because we're scheduling hours. I have to decide whether it's safer to walk due to the rain or safer to drive due to the darkness and potential creepers. I can walk and then take Campus Transit, but I'm worried that the bus won't make it through the water. Well, I've got five hours to make a decision.
